October 24th Glass Get Together

Hi!! The weather is cooling down…so you know it is time for us to get fired up!! You are invited to join us at our next get together on October 24, 2009 at 5:30 pm at the Industrial Arts Center in Gulfport. Our theme is Fall.

October’s Exchange Theme: Please bring a Fall themed focal bead, bead set, or glass item for the crazy exchange if you would like to participate. Please place the item(s) in a box, bag, or wrap it. (participation is optional and voluntary.)

We will be melting glass at our October meeting so please bring your torch glasses, glass, favorite tools, etc. Don’t forget to bring new tools or glass to show off!!
Optional: Also, we have been taking a short break for people to purchase refreshments at two nearby restaurants (right next door) per attendees request.

The Gathering is Here!!

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to remind you that next week is the ISGB Gathering in Miami, Florida. It begins Wednesday and goes through Sunday. Demonstrations and Presentations are on Friday and Sunday. The bead bazaar which is open to the public is on Saturday. For more information, please go to www.isgb.org

I will be going to the bead bazaar. If anyone wants to get together on Saturday for lunch, please drop me an email. If this is your first Gathering, please email me, so I can check in with you and make sure you are having a blast!!

April Get Together

Hi! Thanks to everyone for attending April’s Get Together. It was so much fun chatting about glass and seeing everyone’s beads.  Welcome to our new April members Barbara, Peggy, Megan, Diana, Debbie, Jenny, and Angela.  A Belated Welcome to our March new members Julia, Shawn, Marianne, and MarieAnn.  Our group is growing every month! 

I enjoyed this month’s get together! It was fabulous to watch so many of us torch and create items to be sent for Shannon Hill’s Project.

Hi! Thanks to everyone for attending February’s Get Together. It was so much fun chatting about glass. Welcome to our new members Patsy, Terri, David, and Christina.
Big Kudos to Geneva and Cindy for two awesome demonstrations!! Cindy demonstrated how she creates fish and gave us some fabulous tricks and tips. Geneva demonstrated fusing fish bases 101. For us non-fusers, Geneva’s demo was chock full of information. Thank you once again for sharing your glass knowledge with us!!!

Hi!  I wanted to thank everyone for attending our December get together.  The crazy exchange was a hoot!!  Geneva decided to demonstrate her fabulous dragon eggs and icicles.  Everyone enjoyed Geneva’s demonstration and all of the tips and information that Geneva shared was really appreciated.  Thanks again Geneva!!  Hope to see everyone at the next gathering.
