About the Florida Flames

Calling all Glass Enthusiasts in the Tampa Bay Area

The Florida Flames is an informal group of glassworkers that are looking to share, learn, and have fun together.  We plan to meet one Saturday evening each month October – April.  Please see our upcoming dates below.

Each get-together we have a show and tell….so bring your beads, marbles, glass art, etc!!  It is great for highlighting your work as well as receive positive feedback and share ideas with fellow flameworkers. 

Optional: Please feel free to bring a snack (finger foods) or beverage to share!

Each get-together, we have a theme crazy exchange.  If you are unsure how it works…no worries…you will find out at the gathering.  It is a fun way to be challenged to create something different and exchange work with fellow glass collectors.

Our next get-together is on March 28, 2009 at 5pm at the Industrial Arts Center.

Theme: Bring a Spring Flowers themed glass item for the crazy exchange.

  2. I’m so glad this is happening. . . I Have a load of company for that weekend but my daughter is cooking dinner for everyone Saturday night. I hope to be able to slip away and meet everyone even if I can’t stay long.
